Once he got to the driving impressions, Marcus appreciated that the vehicle was powerful. From a dead launch, he could get the wheels to spin a little like a sports car, and the brakes worked very well with zero complaints. “It rides well … overall road noise is great. And there have been moments where I’ve just kind of forgotten that I’m driving anything, really. It’s been quiet and comfortable.”

The VF8 Eco, with 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, can get to 60 mph in only 5.9 seconds, while the Plus model, with its 53 extra horsepower and 88 more torque, will hustle to 60 in less than 5.5 seconds.

The VF9, a larger three-row SUV with 402 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, will sprint to 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds. That may not seem extremely fast, but it is a lot faster than the gas and hybrid versions of the three-row Toyota Grand Highlander, which will do the same deed in 8.3 and 7.8 seconds, respectively.

How to Car Camp with Your VinFast

Using Camp Mode

Enabling Camp Mode

To enable this mode, you can either use the 15.6-inch touchscreen or the VinFast mobile app. If you are in your car, make sure you have Park (P) selected and the electronic parking brake engaged. According to VinFast, the battery must be above 25% state of charge. On the touchscreen, touch Quick Controls on the screen and select Camp Mode. When you are ready to turn this mode off, simply tap Exit Camp Mode, located above the overhead view of the vehicle on the left of the screen. If your vehicle’s battery drops below 15%, Camp Mode will automatically be deactivated.
