How To Keep Your Car Cool In The Summer

We here at Ewing VinFast of Plano don’t have to tell you that summer’s almost here. With daily temperatures already hitting the high 70s and low 80s, it’s only a matter of time before the blistering heat is here to torture us. Luckily, you can easily keep cool in the depressing heat of the summer with the VF8 and VF9 thanks to some helpful tips and tricks, as well as some great features to keep you and your pets from any heat-related issues.

Keep Your Range Up

First and foremost, always make sure to keep your battery between 20% and 80% of charge. Not only will that help keep the battery in your VinFast in tip-top shape, but it will also ensure that you aren’t worried about any range issues on hot days. Granted, EVs are actually very good in the heat and often provide excellent driving range.

Pet Mode

When your VinFast is parked, you can enable Pet Mode on the 15.6-inch infotainment screen if you are leaving your vehicle for a minute and have an animal in the vehicle. Not only will your car keep the interior at a constant, comfortable temperature for your pet(s) and your belongings, but it will also display a message on the touchscreen that lets people know that your loved one is safe, thanks to the vehicle being in Pet Mode.

Camp Mode

If you intend to sit outside while waiting for some friends, take a private phone call, or just watch a movie or TV show on Sony RIDEVU, you can turn on Camp Mode in your VF8 or VF9. This way, you can charge your devices, use the exterior and interior lights, and keep the cabin cool (or warm if you’re into that sort of thing) while you hang out and do your thing.

A Solar-Powered Car Exhaust Fans

If you are parking your car outside and need to leave it basking in the disappointing summer sun, you can always choose to buy some solar-powered car exhaust fans. One lesson our grandparents tried to teach us was to leave our windows cracked ever so slightly on a hot day to let some of the heat escape the car while it’s sitting still. But then you run the risk of inviting different critters and bugs that may be looking to beat the heat or create a nest. Instead, an exhaust fan hangs on your car window with it closed and creates a tight seal. There are little fans inside that run to try and suck hot air out and exhaust it from the exterior of the device that is pointed outside. These will run you about $20-$40 for anywhere from 1 to 3 fans and won’t use up any of your vehicle’s battery reserves since they are solar-powered.

VinFast currently offers two different vehicles for customers: the VF8 crossover and the three-row VF9 SUV. How Fast is a VinFast Car?

While both SUVs VinFast offers aren’t meant to be the speediest of EVs on the road, they are pretty quick, especially when starting from a dead stop, as electric cars have zero lag when you push the accelerator pedal compared to an internal combustion engine car.

The VF8 Eco, with 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, can get to 60 mph in only 5.9 seconds, while the Plus model, with its 53 extra horsepower and 88 more torque, will hustle to 60 in less than 5.5 seconds.

The VF9, a larger three-row SUV with 402 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, will sprint to 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds. That may not seem extremely fast, but it is a lot faster than the gas and hybrid versions of the three-row Toyota Grand Highlander, which will do the same deed in 8.3 and 7.8 seconds, respectively.

How to Car Camp with Your VinFast

Using Camp Mode

Enabling Camp Mode
